VOICE OF RUGBY FUN BUS LONG LUNCH

WITH JASON LEONARD &  ANDY NICOL (MC)

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AYR COMMUNITY TRUST RUGBY

After an absolute sell-out event last year, we are delighted to be partnering again with Ayr Community Rugby Trust, and will be boarding The Fun Bus Long Lunch at Ayr Racecourse.

Our special guest speaker, nicknamed ‘The Fun Bus’ Jason Leonard OBE, is an English former prop forward with a total of 119 caps (114 caps for England and five for the British and Irish Lions). Leonard played in England teams which won four Grand Slams (1991, 1992, 1995 and 2003) and the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and was part of the British and Irish Lions squad that won the test series during their 1997 tour of South Africa.

We're delighted that Andy Nicol will be returning again to host the afternoon.  Let’s not forget that Andy captained Scotland in 2000 when Scotland beat England 19–13 at a rain-soaked Murrayfield and so prevented England from achieving the Grand Slam that year. This should make some interesting banter with The Fun Bus!

A fun packed afternoon is guaranteed.

THE ROYAL HIGH RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

150TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER DANCE

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BILL MCLAREN FOUNDATION

We are delighted to have been asked by Royal High to support them celebrate their 150th Anniversary as a Club. A fantastic achievement, that they invite all to join them for an action packed evening of entertainment at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Edinburgh.

Master of Ceremonies, Willie Hunter loves nothing better than performing on the after dinner circuit. He’s steeped in rugby, having played nearly 250 games for Watsonians alongside the Hastings brothers Gavin and Scott, and is a ‘well kent’ face throughout Scotland. He’s also a regular performer on radio and TV and the chairman of the Radio Forth 1 Cash for Kids Charity Trust.

Our special guest speaker for the evening will be British and Irish Lions legend, Fergus Slattery. Slatts toured with the Lions in 1971, and in 1974, playing in all four Tests in Willie John McBride’s unbeaten side. He was captain of the most successful Irish touring side ever in 1979 which won 7 of the 8 matches in Australia including the two Tests in Brisbane and Sydney. Slatts was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame in 2007, and the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2015.

Head over Heals will be providing the after dinner entertainment and will be sure to get you all on the dance floor with their lively mix of Ceilidh and popular cover songs!
