Carterhaugh Ba' game takes rugby back to its 'roots'
Rugby has come home after 200 years, with an elaborate re-enactment of the historic Carterhaugh Ba’ Game on the site of the original legendary match held on the historic Bowhill House estate.
Organised by the Bill McLaren Foundation and Bowhill House on the 4th of December 2015, the glorious game of rugby was taken back to it's mythical roots.
Bill McLaren inducted into World Rugby Hall of Fame
Twenty-five greats of the game whose careers spanned three centuries, have been inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in a ceremony at Wembley Stadium before the eagerly awaited Rugby World Cup 2015

Bill McLaren exhibition opens at Bowhill House
An exhibition celebrating the career of Bill McLaren, ‘The Voice of Rugby’, was launched by Scottish Rugby ambassador Chris Paterson MBE at Bowhill House near Selkirk on Monday 24th of August 2015.
The exhibition was unveiled to mark the 200th anniversary of the Carterhaugh Ba’ Game, an historic hand ball match of epic proportions organised in Selkirk by the 4th Duke of Buccleuch, Sir Walter Scott and James Hogg in December 1815.
Record crowds at Turnberry Beach Rugby Festival
The fourth annual Turnberry Beach Rugby took place on the beautiful South Ayrshire coast on Saturday 4th July, 2015 with hundreds of spectators enjoying some five-a-side rugby by the sea.
The rugby kicked off with the Legacy Event, which was well attended by boys and girls, several of whom were playing rugby for the first time. The Logan the Jewellers Trophy was won by a mixed U18s Ayr team.
Linlithgow Rugby Club new training facility opened
Linlithgow played host to Scottish Rugby patron, HRH The Princess Royal, and Scottish Rugby President, Ian Rankin, as they opened a new indoor training facility, which is set to benefit the club and the wider community.
The new indoor facility boasts a World Rugby approved 3G playing surface, a state-of-the-art gym and excellent changing facilities which will allow all sections of the club to train throughout the year regardless of the weather.
