Bill McLaren Celeb-Am

Last year, the Bill McLaren Foundation held the first Bill McLaren Celeb-Am on possibly the worst day for weather of the whole summer at the Vertish Hill Course in Hawick.
Our second Bill McLaren Celeb-Am, in conjunction with Hawick Golf Club, will be held on Friday, 12 August, 2011, at the Vertish Hill, where both Bill and Bette McLaren were regular golfers for many years.
The format will be teams of four, with a shot gun start under Texas scramble rules.
We are looking for sponsorship for 18 teams of four, with each team sponsor having three players and the Foundation will provide a celebrity from the world of rugby. For the cost of £360 per team (including providing the caddy with a remuneration), the sponsor package includes-
10.00 Meet at Hawick Golf Club
10.05 Coffee, Tea and Bacon Rolls
11.00 Shotgun Start
16.00 Meal in clubrooms followed by presentation and auction
Among the celebrities invited are Scott Hastings, Jim Renwick, Roy Laidlaw, Keith Robertson, Andy Irvine, John Rutherford, Craig Chalmers, SRU President Ian McLauchlan and Tony Stanger.
