As a rugby playing school, you will perhaps know that The Bill McLaren Foundation has been recently formed. We're raising funds to promote the game of Rugby Union & its values - and we'd like your help.
The aims of the Bill McLaren Foundation are:
- To develop and promote the sport of rugby union and its values
- To encourage and provide sporting opportunities for young people
- To create an educative centre which will include the Bill McLaren Archive
Bill was himself a teacher and his greatest joy was to see young people fulfil their potential and it is for that essential reason that we have decided on a separate category for schools. The cost is a minimum of £50 per annum which can be paid through our Justgiving site www.justgiving.com/billmclaren or download and return the Supporters Club Form.
For this – hopefully! - reasonable sum:
- Your School will be sent a “Supporters’ Club” certificate
- Your School will receive the Supporters’ Club newsletter
- Your School will be the first to be informed of the latest discoveries from Bill’s archive
- And the first to hear of Foundation events and goings on, on all fronts, throughout the rugby world – but particularly regarding what other schools are doing!
We would also appreciate your help in promoting the Foundation to your pupils & their families and would ask you to consider reciprocal website links, mentions in your school communications, exposure at your events and anything else you might think is a good idea.
Our hope is that as a Supporters’ Club School you will choose to contribute to the Foundation’s activities in whatever way you feel you can. But meantime please join up. Your comments and entry to the club will be recorded on The Bill McLaren Foundation website, hopefully to encourage lots more!
