£80,000 raised at The Legendary Long Lunch

Two Fridays ago, Prestonfield House Hotel played host to a truly Legendary Long Lunch as The Bill McLaren Foundation partnered with Edinburgh Accies for an unforgettable afternoon of rugby insight, entertainment, and exceptional generosity.

Guests were treated to an all-star line-up featuring Greig Laidlaw, Rachel Malcolm, Felipe Contepomi, and Finn Russell, who shared some fantastic stories from their careers, plus provided insight into future rugby plans. Adding even more sparkle to the day was musical entertainment from the brilliant Jess Robinson, whose performances kept the room buzzing.

Guiding the afternoon with his usual flair was our resident MC, Rory Lawson, ensuring the event flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Our thanks also goes to auctioneer Alex Fleming, whose energy and expertise helped drive the fundraising to remarkable heights.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone in the room, the event raised an outstanding £80,000, supporting both The Bill McLaren Foundation and Edinburgh Accies. We are incredibly grateful to all who attended and contributed to such a memorable occasion.
