We’re taking on the Kiltwalk…are you in?

This August, the team behind the scenes at The Foundation are stepping up to raise some funds. We’re lacing up our boots and taking on the Kiltwalk, and we’d love you to join us.

Every step we take is a step towards opportunity.

For over 16 years, The Bill McLaren Foundation has invested more than £1.8 million into providing sporting opportunities for young people. We support schools, clubs, communities and individuals across Scotland (and sometimes even further afield). Behind every pound is a story, a young person given a chance, and a community made stronger.

Just recently, that support has meant:

  • A bursary programme with Scottish Rugby helping 10 promising young players chase their dreams

  • Funding for Inclusive Surfing Scotland, opening up the waves to young people with disabilities

  • Backing a talented Shetland netballer to reach mainland training camps and compete nationally

This is what it’s all about.

Bill McLaren believed deeply in the values of sport; teamwork, respect, resilience, both on and off the pitch. By creating opportunities for young people, we’re not just supporting athletes, we’re shaping confidence, connection, and brighter futures for entire communities.

So come and be part of it.

Sign up, walk with us, and help carry forward the legacy of “The Voice of Rugby.” Whether you take on the Kiltwalk yourself, donate, or cheer from the sidelines, you’re making a real difference.

Let’s pull on the tartan, hit the road, and make every mile matter.
